The art museum’s fall season opens with three new exhibitions
Autumn season exhibition opening. Admission to the opening is free, no advance registration required. We are organizing free bus transportation from Helsinki to Pori and back for the opening. Warmly welcome!
EXHIBITIONS:
Sugar Doors: Essi Kausalainen, Olli Keränen, Mikko Kuorinki and Maija Luutonen
In the exhibition, paintings, sculptures, installations, and performances all engage in spatial interaction with each other.
melanie bonajo: Night Soil trilogy
melanie bonajo is a Dutch artist whose works deal with actors operating outside social norms. The common theme in the trilogy is human agency that operates beyond social norms. At their core, the works are about the establishment of alternative ways of being and rituals in the vacuum of meaning in contemporary society.
Shia Conlon and Iona Roisin: GAG:
The exhibition evokes the atmosphere of being a depressed teenager in early 2000s small-town England and Ireland. Conlon and Roisin are long-time friends, partners and collaborators. They work on Almanac Press and Trans Library Helsinki together. This is their first duo exhibition.
Maire Gullichsen and the Turning Points of Modernism exhibition continues in the Wing.
