During the Ruralia: Art of the Countryside exhibition (June 9 – August 29, 1999), the café at the Pori Art Museum hosts a photography series titled My Countryside, showcasing life in rural Satakunta, both past and present. Contributions included personal photographs as well as images found in family albums that depicted countryside life. Eleven individuals submitted photographs, and the museum selected six series to be displayed.

Each photo series is exhibited for two weeks. The photos are hung on the first Monday of each two-week period and are on display from Tuesday to the following Sunday.

The photo series are documented, and a comprehensive collection of the displayed images is compiled in a folder available at the museum café. This allows visitors to view earlier exhibits and offers a diverse perspective on different ways of seeing and interpreting the countryside.
