Lentävä Puutarha is part of Pori Art Museum’s KORSI Commission program in 2025. The Lentävä Puutarha artwork is present over the weekend of July 11–13th at the Luvia’s Local Heritage Museum (Myllykuja 3B).
The artist group will collect plants within a three-kilometre radius of the museum and serve wild herb tea (or locally roasted coffee) at the local heritage museum in Luvia.
Check the wild herb tea serving schedule on the artwork’s website: www.lentavapuutarha.net
You can follow the development of the artwork also on the website and register your plant for the garden. The site features a blog and live plant broadcasts, documenting the progress of these temporary gardens and plants within them. A central part of the work is the journey of a single houseplant to Denmark and its adaptation to a new environment.
Lentävä Puutarha is created by artists Laura Lilja, Jönssi Heikkinen, Uljas Kaitala, and Victoria Torboli and is coordinated by Eero Yli-Vakkuri. The work explores the histories of houseplants, and the communities formed around them. It began at the Pori Art Museum with the opening of Laura Lilja’s exhibition, continued to the Eurajoki water tower, and will culminate in a final presentation on August 31st during Sensommar Film Festival in Reposaari, Pori.
